From Page to Plate to Stage: Beyond the Cookbook

Visit Milwaukee has entered its Flavor Era, and in celebration of the city and state’s vibrant culinary scene, its new cookbook brings together chefs from across Wisconsin who represent the people, places and flavors shaping our food culture.

Hosted by Visit Milwaukee President & CEO Peggy Williams-Smith, this special Mainstage conversation invites featured chefs to step beyond the pages and share the stories behind their food — the experiences that shaped them, the communities they represent and the passion that continues to drive their work.

Educational, personal and full of personality, this panel offers guests a deeper look at Wisconsin’s culinary identity through the voices of the chefs helping define it. As the very first program of the inaugural Freshwater Food & Wine Festival, it’s a fitting way to begin: by celebrating the people and stories that make Wisconsin such an exciting place to eat.
