Sandeman

It all started in 1790…when the 25-year-old son of a Scottish prosperous cabinetmaker asked for a 300£ loan from his father to set up as a wine merchant in London.

This ambitious young man was George Sandeman, the founder of Sandeman, who ended up establishing one of the world’s leading Port and Sherry wine businesses.

From early on Sandeman specialised in these two great Iberian fortified wines and, following a usual practice in those days, began trading not from own offices but from Tom’s Coffee house, on Birchin Lane, London. Business was agreed on a ‘gentleman’s word’ and George soon gained an impeccable reputation, characteristic of The House of Sandeman to today.

Montecillo

Bodegas Montecillo was founded in 1870 and is the oldest winery in Fuenmayor and the third-oldest in Spain’s celebrated Rioja region. With more than 150 years of experience, the winery produces authentic, elegant Rioja wines shaped by careful grape selection, patient aging and a deep respect for the vineyard and regional tradition.

Casa Ferreirinha Vinha Grande

Vinha Grande is a Douro red wine, classic and intense, with a distinctive character that reflects the richness and quality of the region, in relation to the production of the best blended wines. Vinha Grande is part of the Casa Ferreirinha wine range. The brand has a rich tradition for producing quality Douro wines, and is well-known around the world.

Grao Vasco

Grão Vasco was a famous Renaissance painter in Viseu, capital of the Dão region. Grão Vasco the wine was born in 1958 when Sogrape was founded, and has since been the very essence of Dão wine, further perfected in the ’90s with modern winemaking techniques at Quinta dos Carvalhais. Grão Vasco’s golden capsule was inspired by the painting São Pedro or Saint Peter, the most famous work of Grão Vasco. Quinta dos Carvalhais is now a benchmark for best practices in the Portuguese wine industry as it defends the interests and living conditions of many small winegrowers who deliver their grapes there.

Fio a Fio

Inspired by the rich tradition of embroidery and lace from Northern Portugal. Fio a Fio is crafted meticulously to reflect the charm and vibrancy of the region.​

Like every piece of embroidery tells a unique story, Fio a Fio stands as an innovative wine, redefining expectations for the Vinho Verde region. ​

It offers a refined, modern expression, characterized by harmonious complexity and well-balanced acidity. With its vibrant character, it stands apart from traditional profiles, marking itself as a breakthrough wine from the region.

Vina Monty

Hailing from one of the oldest wineries in Rioja, Bodegas Montecillo Viña Monty Graciano Reserva 2019 is crafted from 100% graciano, which is usually one of the region's supporting grapes. Given a starring role here, it's a wine packed with plush black fruit and floral flavours crying out for red meat.

Founded in 1870 by Celestino Navajas, Montecillo is one of Rioja's oldest producers, known for classical, long‑aged wines crafted with tempranillo from Rioja Alta's higher‑altitude vineyards. Viña Monty Graciano Reserva showcases the estate's mastery of graciano. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel with temperature control to safeguard aromatics and acidity. Extended maceration builds structure while careful pump‑over regimes avoid excessive extraction.

Ageing occurs in a mix of French and American oak for 24-30 months, followed by significant bottle age before release. Montecillo prioritises elegance over power, resulting in wines with lifted aromatics, firm acidity, and finely etched tannins. Their classical approach – long ageing, restrained oak, and judicious racking – has earned them a reputation for producing some of Rioja's most reliable, cellar‑worthy traditional wines.
